A Journey Through the History of Political Photojournalism
Senior photojournalist Gajanan Dudhalkar has organised a remarkable photo exhibition at the Mumbai Press Club, running from 21 October to 20 November. The exhibition was inaugurated by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray, in the presence of several distinguished guests and political leaders.
The exhibition showcases a collection of historical photographs dating back to 1990, capturing leaders and moments from across the political spectrum.
These photographs reflect the dedication, patience and hard work required in the early days of photojournalism, when capturing a single important moment was a real challenge. Photographers had to work with the limitations of the technology available at that time.
Today, digital cameras, smartphones and modern technology have made photography and news coverage much easier and faster. However, the skill, experience and hard work of those who documented history through their lenses remain invaluable.
This exhibition is not just a collection of photographs; it is a visual journey through Maharashtra’s political history and a tribute to the dedication of photojournalists.
Congratulations to Gajanan Dudhalkar for preserving these precious memories and sharing them with the public.
